Therefore, it is very important to sell your products on the e-commerce platform. And when it comes to e-commerce, the name comes to Amazon. So, in this article, I am going to tell you a complete and step-by-step process to become Amazon Seller.
This method of earning money from Amazon is also known as Easy Ship. In which we earn money from selling our products online. It doesn’t require to complete lengthy formalities to become an amazon seller. You only need to follow the simple steps to become Amazon Seller.

Documents Required to Become Amazon Seller:
To register yourself for becoming a seller on Amazon you need some basic documents which are:
- Pan Card
- GST Number
- Mobile Number
- Email ID
Note:- Even if you do not have the ID and GST number of your product, you can also sell it under the name of a Generic Product.
Register on Amazon Seller Account:
To create your seller account on Amazon go to the site ‘Amazon Seller Central’ or Click on the below link.
Step 1: Create your new Amazon account or you can log in with your old login id and password which you use for shopping on Amazon.
Step 2: Then type your Company/Business name > Accept terms and conditions > Click on Continue.
Step 3: The next page will be open. Here you need to fill in all details of your business such as Store name (which will display on Amazon), Product Category, and Address. > Click on Continue.
Step 4: Here you need to select the Shipping Method to deliver your product to the customer.
There are 3 methods for shipping in Amazon.
1 Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA)
In this method, you need to hand over your products at the Amazon warehouse. And when there will be an order Amazon will deliver your product to the customer.
2 Amazon Easy Ship
In this, you need to keep your product at your store and pack when the order will get. Amazon delivery boy will pick up the product from you and deliver it to the customer.
3 Self Ship
This is the method in which keep your product at your store, you need to pack and deliver it to the customer by yourself when there is an order.
Note: When you enter your Pincode it will show you the Methods for which you are Eligible. At some places, FBA service is not available so at this time you need to select the Self Ship option.
After completing the above process, you need to Turn on Two-Step Verification. It is used for more security purposes.
When you log in to your Amazon Seller account, you will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number, Then only you can log in to your Amazon Seller account.
Update Your Tax Details:
You need to fill in your Tax details to proceed such as:
- Seller Legal Name
- GST Number
- PAN Number
Note: If you don’t have a GST Number, you can update it later.
Now, you need to add more details about your products and service. These are-
- List Your Products
- Add Shipping Fee Details
- Add Your Bank Account
- Enter Tax Details
- Default Product Tax Code
How to List Product on Amazon:
There are various methods for adding products.
1] Select the category of your products and then you will see a list of products. Select your product from the list which you want to sell on Amazon.
Add your Selling price and Quantity for your product, and start selling.
2] If you have multiple products, you can upload products files directly.
Then click on Launch Your Business. You will see this message on the screen-
Become FBA Seller:
You will become Fulfilled By Amazon seller by these 3 simple steps –
1] Register for FBA: Select your state and add the Amazon warehouse in that state.
2] Add Amazon fulfillment center to GSTIN account.
3] Send products to the Amazon fulfillment center.
Now your registration will be completed.
How to Add Return Address:
When you log in to your Seller Account dashboard, you will see two options-
1] Return Address Alert: In this section, you need to enter your address for return packages. When a customer returns your product because of some reason, it will arrive at this address.
2] Emergency Contact Number: Here, add your emergency contact number. An emergency contact number is important in any unexpected condition.
Amazon Seller Dashboard:
On Amazon Seller Dashboard you can manage each and everything. You can see your Orders, Total sales, Customer feedback, etc.
You will see below options on the Dashboard –
The balance will be credited to your registered bank account after 15 days of sale.
